Building the Fire Within

A Soul-Inspired Muskoka Retreat For Women
Led By Dr. Laura Foster

November 5th – November 8th, 2020

A small, intimate women’s only retreat

Deepen your soul connection with yourself and others.

This retreat is intended for the woman who wants to journey inwards, open herself up to enrich the connection with her intuition and sense of self. Through a series of journal prompts and authentic conversations, you will uncover unconscious roadblocks and limiting beliefs that have held you back from living a more aligned, deeply empowering life. Along the way you will strengthen your love and appreciation for the incredible being that you already are and move forward with a renewed sense of peace, connection to your soul-inspired gifts and letting go of what no longer serves you.

Over the course of three days you will have the opportunity to move your body each day with yoga (appropriate for all levels), group +/or solo meditation, hike/walk the trails along and around the lake, skate on the lake or ice skating trail, relax with a book in front of the fire, opt-for a in-cottage massage therapy session, enjoy your mug of coffee with a journal in hand, dine as a group, connect/laugh/bond with like-minded women and move through the soul-inspired sessions while enjoying the space and time to percolate all that arises.

If you are a woman who wants to breathe deeper, exhale more fully and live more confidently in the skin-you-are-in, this program is intended for you.

Hey. I'm Dr. Laura

Ten years ago, everything in my life came to a halt.

Looking back, I had checked all the boxes. I built a successful career as a chiropractor; I had a husband and three kids I adored. My life was so full and everything looked great on paper – but the reality was, it wasn’t the life I truly wanted. I had accomplished what I always imagined success would and should feel like, and I did it all with the best intentions…

But I completely skipped over myself in the process.

My breakdown came fast and hard, but my breakthrough took a lot of time, energy and questioning.

I’ve spent the last decade honing in on this ability to return to my roots and live my truth.

Frequently Asked Questions

We welcome all beginner yogis and no experience is necessary.

Please let us know upon booking – we are able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most food sensitivities.

If you are a single registrant – awesome! We have found that over 50% of the individuals who sign up for our retreats are coming alone so do not worry if this is something you’ve never done before. We may arrive solo, but we will move throughout the week as a mini-tribe of beautiful souls. Many of the people you meet during this weekend will likely become life-long friends.

To be completely wowed and leave feeling like you’ve given yourself the biggest gift ever. That’s a bold statement – we know, but after hosting many retreats in various settings we are accustomed to the magic that happens in a retreat.

Retreats are inherently different than vacations. On the surface it may look a lot like an all-inclusive style vacation, but once you arrive you’ll start to settle into the glorious routine of taking space and time to unroll your yoga mat, breathe deep, expand outwards and enjoy the process that unfolds. The workshops and classes are like icing on a soulful adventure.

Bring your open heart and sense of fun and you’ll be sure to have an incredible time (and if you feel inspired to truly unplug – be prepared to set down your technology while you are here).

Retreats are non-refundable unless the retreat does not run. If you decide you do not want to attend and we are able to find a participant to fill your space we will refund all monies less a $50 administration fee.
