You Won’t Miss A Thing

It’s easy to forget that we don’t need to be doing all of the things, all of the time. We are so conditioned to try harder, work more, and move forward as fast as we can.

But if I’m being honest, lately, I’m tired. And not the kind of tiredness that requires a lazy day on the couch and has me heading early to bed.

The kind of tiredness that requires a full soul stop.

And let me be clear, there is nothing going wrong in my life or business. In fact, it’s all going very right at the moment. Yet, there is still this pulling inside that is asking me to rest.

I’ve just come to understand that this pull is a normal part of life and not something that I need to apologize for.

I can’t tell you the exact moment when I realized that my constant striving to do wasn’t working for me, but suffice to say, how I was feeling about my life wasn’t matching my achievement.

I’ve learned to respect and honour my awareness and take what I need, for as long as I need it.

I slow down whenever I need to re-remember who I AM and this has allowed me to stand with confidence in the decision and goals I now make.

The kind of goals that are deeply connected to my truth and inner knowing.

It felt good to be really okay with being where I was without pushing myself to get anywhere else.

It was honestly the best gift I have ever given myself.

As women, we are deeply attuned to the energy and cycles of our lives, consciousness and the universe.

How much we hold. How much we create space for in our hearts, our lives, our vessels.

If you’ve been fighting against it as a way of life, you may no longer be able to tolerate the routine that lies in opposition to the cycles that exist.

But there is sacred timing for everything in our lives.

Big or small.

Elevating your voice to speak your truth (especially to yourself) is an integral part of learning to honor who you are

Take the time to put down some of what you are carrying, whenever you need to so do. It’s also time to release what is no longer yours to carry. And the most important part, find space in your heart for your dreams, passion, creativity and callings.

Sometimes that means you have to say no a lot, remove any feelings obligations to the things that suck your energy out of you, and set better boundaries.

Oh, and without apologies.

Sometimes all it takes is moving your body, releasing old energy, and taking a lot of deep breaths.

Maybe for you, it’s a gentle introspection that can help you ask yourself what it is you need at that moment.

If all of the striving feels arduous and you find yourself searching for the pause button, give yourself permission to do just that.

Pause.

I promise you that you won’t miss a thing when you do. Your life is a one-person race and there’s not a single person in your lane.

Hey! I'm Laura.

Our rise is seeded in the strength of our roots. I help women plant and nurture theirs.

Stop Playing Small

I’ve got your number, Sister. You’re playing small. Maybe not small … but how about smaller than you’re capable of. Smaller than you dream of.
