3 Ways to Deepen Your Sense of Self

Do you have a hard time standing in your truth?

Do you feel yourself editing your truth — or shying away from speaking it at all?

You definitely aren’t alone and truthfully, I believe that our ability to speak our truth is very connected to our sense of self.

When we have a strong connection to who we are and why we are here, speaking our truth comes a lot more naturally.

This is why I’ve made my work as a coach and in my ROOTS program all about the robust relationship, we are called to create within ourselves.

It is my belief that our relationship to self is the MOST important relationship we have and frankly, we undervalue this relationship.

Let’s not do that anymore.

Because Sister, this kind of inner work will blow open the doors on your confidence, self-esteem, self-love, self-care and ability to step into your life the way you so deeply desire.

I know because I help women do this all the time.

If I had to break it down into 3 powerful components I would prioritize focusing on building your self-awareness, uncovering your personal core values and creating healthy boundaries in all aspects of your life.

1. Self-Awareness

  • Slow down
  • Ask questions
  • Be curious
  • Challenge yourself
  • Journal
  • Meditate
  • Have self-compassion

2. Boundaries

  • Self reflect
  • Be clear
  • Be consistent
  • Follow up
  • Don’t justify
  • Be sincere
  • Learn as you go

3. Values

  • Uncover them
  • Refine them as needed
  • Know why
  • Prioritize your list
  • Align with your values
  • Review them often
  • Guiding principles

When you focus on these 3 integral parts, you learn so much about the inner landscape of who you truly are and understand why you do what you do.

With focus and determination, you will find yourself speaking your truth with confidence and conviction.
It’s brilliant. It’s doable and it’s waiting for you.

Hey! I'm Laura.

Stop Playing Small

I’ve got your number, Sister. You’re playing small. Maybe not small … but how about smaller than you’re capable of. Smaller than you dream of.
